The ID Manager in the PCCU software allows you to set up your connections to the various flow computers, but you are limited to 99 entries. However, there is an easier and more efficient way to launch PCCU through an icon and automatically connect to an individual flow computer when the icon is launched. This technique does not limit you to 99 connections. First, you’ll need to create an icon where you can specify the IP address and virtual port number of the flow computer you would like to connect to in the icon’s properties. Example follows:
You can adjust the path in the Target and Start In fields to match the location where the PCCU software is installed. Adjusted example follows:
Target: “C:\Program Files\ABB Totalflow\PCCU7\pccu32.exe” TCP:10.50.88.12/9999
Start In: “C:\Program Files\ABB Totalflow\PCCU7/”
You can create an icon for each flow computer you would like to connect to, renaming each icon as appropriate to match the flow computer ID and adjusting the IP address in each icon’s icon properties.
